ArtFinder ("the app") cares about your privacy. This page explains what data is collected while you use the app, how it's used, and how it's stored.
Data we collect
- Account info: the name and email you provide when signing up.
- Location data: with your permission, we use your device location to show nearby art, museums, and street art. The location you choose when adding a piece is saved with it.
- Photos: photos you add are stored on our servers (Firebase Storage) and shared with other users inside the app.
- User content: titles, comments, ratings, and artist info you add appear in the public feed.
- Follow relationships: who you follow and who follows you.
How we use your data
The data we collect is used only to power the app's core features: showing art on the map, suggesting nearby content, personalizing recommendations, and managing your account. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Third-party services
The app uses the following services:
- Firebase (Google): account management, database, and photo storage.
- Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons: for nearby museum information and street art photos. Your location is sent to these services anonymously as a query.
Your control over your data
You can delete the pieces you've added at any time from your profile. If you'd like your account fully deleted, contact us at the email below.
